Shaw is the home to three F-16 squadrons: the 55th Fighter Squadron, 77th Fighter Squadron and the 79th Fighter Squadron. Shaw is also home to the Ninth Air Force headquarters, Air Forces Central Command, and U.S. Army Central Command.
