| The Education and Training Flight centrally manages administration of all education and training matters at Eglin. |
| As part of the Eglin Training Flight, the Eglin Training Center, Building 871, offers some of the most advanced methods of training available today. Students not only participate in traditional classroom instruction, but may also take advantage of live satellite-delivered interactive video instruction. Hundreds of courses are beamed over the network each week. Hands-on instruction in a wide range of computer software programs is also available through computer-based training. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. |

| The Eglin Education Services Center, Building 251, is one of the largest in the Air Force. It offers a wide variety of on-base programs from adult basic education through master’s degree programs. Five colleges and universities operating on base offer programs. | The Eglin Base Library collection consists of over 50,000 items for adults, kids and teens. In addition to books, the library carries large print books, DVDs, music CDs and audio materials on CD and Playaway. Special subject collections areas are deployment, CSAF reading list, Spanish language, foreign language study and educational study guides. The library subscribes to over 100 different magazines and newspapers. Online subscription databases offer access to hundreds more full-text magazines and newspapers. The Library supports off-duty educational institutions that offer over 100 degree programs as well as Professional Military Education courses like Air War College, Senior NCO Academy and the Airman Leadership School. Online practice tests are available for the computer-based ASVAB, CLEP, GED, ACT and SAT. |

Leisure time activities are supported by a wide variety of titles in such areas as bestsellers, arts and crafts, sports and fitness, travel, cooking, computers, gardening and Florida and coastal area interest. |
| Children’s programs include a weekly preschool story time, summer reading and special programs. Adult programs include author visits and contests. |
